Empowering Women in the Workplace: The Journey of "Women Welding the Workplace"

  In a world striving for equality and inclusivity, initiatives that champion women's empowerment and economic participation are crucial for driving meaningful change. One such remarkable project, "Women Welding the Workplace (WWW)," has been making waves since its inception in 2021. A collaboration between Contact Base and the U.S. Consulate General Kolkata, with   a clear vision to develop a sustainable intergenerational regional network that would unite industry experts, domain specialists, statutory compliance professionals, entrepreneurs, media influencers, investors, and life skill and wellness experts. Daksha – Crafting Voices

Daksha– Crafting Voices presented to people the ethos of harmonizing tradition with contemporary lifestyle. The exhibition was hosted at Birla Academy of Art and Culture from June 21st-25th, 2023. The exhibition showcased different art and craft of West Bengal and their creative producers, whose artistic innovation is changing the landscape of our creative industry. These rural art and artists are a part of Rural Craft and Cultural Hubs (RCCH), a collaborative effort of Department of MSME&T, Govt. of West Bengal and UNESCO, implemented to revive traditional cultural practices and make them a viable livelihood source for the practitioners. Conference: Entrepreneurship as a Social Movement - Engaging Citizens with Institutions for Entrepreneurial Outcomes – A Summary

  Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur and Jodhpur City Knowledge and Innovation Foundation (JCKIF) in partnership with Contact Base, Essex Business School of the University of Essex, the Mehrangarh Museum Trust and the International Entrepreneurship Forum, organized a conference titled ‘ Entrepreneurship as a Social Movement: Engaging Citizens with Institutions for Entrepreneurial Outcomes ’ from 5th to 7th April 2023 at Jodhpur Club in IIT Jodhpur campus. The conference, through dialogue, developed the concept of entrepreneurship as a social movement, exploring optimal ways to integrate technology, social and cultural change and sustainability issues to usher innovation for social good.
